This blog is an attempt to pin down some of my thoughts regarding my research, particularly in terms of underlying themes and concepts. I am currently in my final year. For those of you not in the know, a taught doctorate usually comprises a series of taught courses followed by the thesis. In my case, as a part-time student, the first three years comprise one taught module per year with the final two years given over to write and submit the thesis. In addition to this, throughout the course there is a requirement to publish, or disseminate, in some form or other. Ergo this blog.
Therefore, modules One to Three are listed under ‘Taught Modules’ up at the top of this page on the right-hand side, with a seperate area for sharing my current reading list and my thoughts around the subjects I encounter either in books, papers or in discussion… in looking ahead, this might be one of the most ongoing active and up-to-date areas, but this remains to be seen…
Please remember each page is still unfinished - my main priority is to get something here and then to revise and update as I go along…I welcome feedback, so if you have any comments, please let me know.
